The Public


Public and stakeholder participation were crucial to the creation of the plan that has strong support for implementation and will achieve the vision that citizens hold for the Niagara Waterfront Opportunity area. The participation program for the project included two major public events, one near the beginning of the process to review preliminary analysis and a second to evaluate concepts in development:

Public Events

Other Opportunities to Participate

There were also a number of invitation-only events that were part of the Niagara Waterfront Opportunity project including one-on-one interviews with key property owners, neighborhood leaders, and others allowed the project team to obtain additional information and discuss specific issues in greater detail. Later in the process developers from across the region convened on November 3, 2016 to learn about real estate development opportunities in the Niagara Waterfront Opportunity Area.
